For the past 34 years I have had the honor of seeing first-hand how the energy of young people can empower teens with disabilities to take their rightful place in the community. Hundreds of teens with disabilities have become more self-confident through making friends, developing empathy for others and doing high-impact community service with veterans, homeless families, senior citizens and children affected by trauma. The only program like it in the country allows people who are often helped to be the HELPERS…because everyone can serve!
